Install the Lara Translate app
Open Google Sheets and navigate to Extensions
Open a new or existing Google Sheet. Click on the “Extensions” tab in the top menu and select “Add-ons” > “Get add-ons” to open the Google Workspace Marketplace.

Search for the Lara Translate app
In the search bar, type “Lara” and press Enter. Click on the Lara Translate result to view its details.
Install the app and grant permissions
Click the “Install” button and follow the prompts to grant the necessary permissions. This ensures Lara can securely work with your spreadsheets.

Troubleshooting: login issues with multiple Google accounts
If you are signed in to multiple Google accounts in the same browser window, you may encounter login errors when trying to access the Lara for Sheets add-on. Common error messages include:
- "Login window was closed. Please try again."
- "Failed to validate session."
This is a known limitation of Google Apps Script, which does not support multiple simultaneous Google account sessions in the same browser window. It is not specific to Lara.
To resolve the issue, use one of the following workarounds:
- Open the Google Sheet in an Incognito window and log in with only the Google account you use for Lara.
- Sign out of all other Google accounts from your browser, then sign back in with only the account you use for Lara.
- Use a dedicated Chrome profile for the Google account associated with your Lara subscription.
