Team Groups: organize members and share resources

How to create Groups, move members between them, and share glossaries and memories with specific groups

Groups let you organize your Lara Team into smaller units - for example by department or project - so you can share resources like glossaries and translation memories only with the people who need them.

Creating a Group

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Lara dashboard.
  2. Select Team members from the list.
  3. Switch to the Groups tab.
  4. Click Add Group.
  5. Enter a name for the group and click Create.

Inviting members to a Group

  1. From the Team members page, click Invite members.
  2. Choose Entire team to invite someone to the team without assigning them to a group, or Specific group to invite them directly into one.
  3. If you chose Specific group, select the group from the dropdown.
  4. Copy the generated invite link and share it with the person you want to add.

Moving members between Groups

  1. From the Members tab, find the member you want to move.
  2. Click the move icon (the two arrows) next to their name.
  3. Select the destination group from the Move to menu, or choose Ungrouped to remove them from their current group without removing them from the team.

A member can belong to only one Group at a time.

Renaming or deleting a Group

  1. From the Groups tab, click the menu next to the group.
  2. Select Rename group to change its name, or Share invite link to get a new invite link for that group.
  3. Select Delete group to remove it. Deleting a group does not remove its members from the team — they're moved back to the general (ungrouped) list.

Sharing glossaries and memories with Groups

Glossaries and translation memories can be shared at different levels:

  • Personal – visible only to you
  • Entire team – visible to everyone on the team
  • Groups – visible only to the selected group(s)

You can select one or more groups to share a glossary or memory with, so different teams can work with their own dedicated terminology and translation history.

To change sharing settings:

  1. Go to Glossaries or Memories from the left-hand menu.
  2. Find the resource and open the Shared with dropdown next to it.
  3. Select Personal, Entire team, or check one or more groups.
