Lara 3 is the third generation of Lara, the AI model built by Translated specifically for translation. It became generally available in October 2026 and is available in Lara Translate, through the Lara API, and in TranslationOS. ### What is new in Lara 3 Unlike general-purpose AI models, Lara is designed only for translation. Lara 3 focuses on what matters most in professional and enterprise content: accurate terminology, correct context, consistency across texts, and respect for your brand voice. In a blind evaluation, professional translators reviewed 16,800 translations from English into 21 enterprise languages. Lara 3 received the highest average score and ranked first in 20 of the 21 language pairs, with about four in five translations needing no edits. ### Where you can use Lara 3 - **Lara Translate**: translate text and documents in more than 200 languages. Document uploads support more than 70 file formats and preserve the original layout. This is the right choice for individuals avai nd teams. - **Lara API**: integrate Lara into your own products and translation pipelines. For technical details, see the Developer Hub at developers.laratranslate.com. - **TranslationOS**: use Lara within Translated's AI service delivery platform. ### Keep your terminology consistent In Lara Translate, Lara 3 works with your glossaries and translation memories, so approved terms and previous translations carry over to new content. Glossaries and translation memories are applied to your account only and do not retrain the underlying model. ### Frequently asked questions Do I need to change anything to use Lara 3?
