How to Translate Text
Step-by-Step Instructions for Translating Text in Lara
- Open the Lara translation platform and ensure you are on the Translate Text tab. You’ll see two text boxes: one for the input text (left) and the translated output (right)
- Type or paste the text you want to translate into the left-hand text box. Alternatively, if the text is stored in a file, you can drag and drop a document into this area. You can refer to this article in case of Document Translation
- Lara will automatically detect the input language (only supported languages), as indicated above in the input text box. You can verify or change the detected language by clicking the language dropdown menu, which displays only supported languages.
- Select the desired target language from the dropdown menu above the output text box on the right. Lara will translate into the language shown there (e.g., "Italian") among the supported languages.
- When you enter the text, Lara instantly translates it and displays the output on the right-hand side. For example, typing "Hi guys, how are you?" will immediately generate the translation "Ciao ragazzi, come state?" on the right
- If required, click the Add context option to provide additional details for a more accurate translation
- If your translation quota is reached, Lara will notify you. You can upgrade to a bigger plan to extend the character limit and access additional features
- Review the translation on the right-hand side. Lara may display a helpful note with suggestions or request context for clarification if any ambiguities or issues are detected
- To copy the translated text, click the copy icon in the output box. You can also share the text directly using the available share options
