Lara integration with Zapier

Lara Translate integrates with Zapier, allowing you to add text and document translation as a step in your automated workflows — no code required.

This integration enables no-code and low-code teams to automate translation processes across 9,000+ apps without building custom integrations.

 

What is Zapier and how Lara integrates


Zapier is a no-code automation platform that connects triggers and actions across thousands of apps such as CRMs, spreadsheets, email, storage, and messaging tools. Every automation ("Zap") consists of a trigger — the event that starts the workflow — followed by one or more actions. Lara Translate acts as an action step, letting you translate text or documents as part of an automated process.

What you can do with the Lara Translate Zapier integration


The integration currently supports four actions:

Translate Text


Translates a text value and returns the translation. Supports source and target language selection (or automatic detection), Translation Memory, glossary, translation style, and Incognito Mode.
Best suited for: messages, notifications, dynamic content from other apps, text fields from spreadsheets or forms.
Example: automatically translate new form responses before saving them to a spreadsheet.

 

Upload Document for Translation

Uploads a document and starts translating it in the background.

 

Get Document Status

Checks the translation status of a document.

 

Download Translated Document

Downloads a translated document and returns it as a file, once translation is complete. You can choose to receive it in the same format as the input, or as PDF.

Note: the returned file link expires about 1 hour after this step runs — if you add a Delay step before using the file (e.g. uploading it to Drive), keep it under 1 hour.

 

Setup and configuration (high level)

  1. Create a connection to Lara Translate from Zapier's "App connections" page, or directly while building a Zap
  2. Enter your Lara API credentials (Key ID and Key Secret), found in your Lara dashboard under API credentials
  3. Name the connection (useful if you manage several Lara accounts)
  4. In your Zap, add Lara Translate as an action step and choose the event you need (Translate Text, Upload Document for Translation, Get Document Status, or Download Translated Document)
  5. Map the input fields from previous steps in your Zap
  6. Test the step and publish your Zap

Credentials and authentication

The Lara Zapier integration uses Lara Translate API credentials. You need:

  • a Key ID
  • a Key Secret

These are the same credentials available in your Lara dashboard under API credentials, and can be reused across multiple Zaps.
