Why did my document upload fail? Fix errors caused by comments or passwords
Understanding and resolving upload issues in Lara caused by protected or unclean files

Unresolved comments or tracked changes
Many file formats like Word (.DOCX), ODT, Excel (.XLSX), or PowerPoint (.PPTX) include features for revision tracking or collaboration. If the document contains pending suggestions or comments, Lara cannot analyze it. -
Password-protected or restricted files
If your document is locked or has editing restrictions, Lara won’t be able to access the content. This applies to Word, Excel, PDF, and other protected formats. You’ll need to remove the password before uploading.
After fixing either issue, save the file again and return to the Translate Documents tab in Lara. Upload the clean, unlocked file and the translation should proceed without errors.
